Gujarat



Gujarat
Gujarat is the western state of India, and a part of it plinked with the Arabian Sea.  It shares  border with Pakistan in the northwest and also shares borders with the other states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, and with the Union Territories of Diu, Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

Gujarat is divided into three  regions: the eastern region , the Saurashtra region and  the northern region. The eastern region comprises of major cities like Ahmedabad , Surat Vadodara; the saurashtra region comprises of  gluf areas like cambay and kutch; and the northern region comprises of kutch with a desert.

Gujarat is the most industrial state in the country and contributes about one-fifth of the total industrial output of India. It does  well in textiles and electronics, and it has the largest petrochemical industries in India.  Though Gandhinagar is the capital of the state, and Ahmedabad as  its former capital,  it is the most important city commercially and historically , containing Gujarat's  international airport.  Surat is famous for diamond polishing and trade and Vadodara is an erstwhile princely estate.
